Corbridge Riverside Sports Club is a long established village angling club fishing on the River Tyne in Northumberland. We have about 3 miles of south bank fishing available to club members. Membership is restricted to those living within a two mile radius of Corbridge. ( note- day tickets are not available to the public.) We may also consider applications from those living in Riding Mill and Bywell Parishes.

Fishing is mostly for salmon and sea trout although the river contains brown trout and coarse species such as dace and chub.

About

CRSC have fishing on the south bank of the Tyne extending 3/4 mile downstream and 2 1/4 miles upstream from Corbridge bridge. This includes the famous Dilston Beats. There is a variety of fast glides and deep slow pools so we have fishing to suit most water conditions for all ages and abilities. Most fishing is for salmon and sea trout and most are caught on the fly although spinning can also be productive. The Club encourages “Catch & Release” and most fish are returned safely to the river. The Tyne is generally accepted as having the best salmon fishing in England. Sea trout runs can be good from mid June. Brown trout are not so numerous as once and there are some large chub and also dace.

Memberships are generally available ( to residents within 2 mile radius of Corbridge ) and ladies and junior members are particularly welcome. It’s a very friendly club and help and advice is freely given to new members.
